Tribe
The duty of the men were to hunt and feed their family but also protect them, while the mother cared for the house, children, and other daily chores.
European Influences
The spanish explorerers introduced horses which helped the nomadic Indians migrate.
Chiefs
The sioux had multiple chiefs who specialized in many fields. For example, one chief may specialize in medicine while another specialized in war. Each chief is picked after being a true warrior.
Food and crops
The Sioux tribe ate by hunting buffalo, deer, and elk. Their main crop was corn, and other food consisted of forging for berries.
The Sioux Are know for their pow wow's which consist of dancing and singing, and the Sioux were involved in the battle known as "Custards last stand", or the "Battle of little Big Horn"

Location and Lifestyle
The Sioux mainly lived in North, and South Dakota, Nebraska, Montana, and Canada. They migrated in the seasons with the buffalo heards, and lived in tipis of wood, and leather hides.
Neighboring Tribes
The Sioux tribe is the sister tribe to the Lakota tribe. Also due to their location being neer the Cherokee tribe, the sioux constantly fought them.
